Estoy trabajando en un logo para mi propia agencia de diseño -¡por soñar!...- y éste es uno de los logos que he desarrollado. Se llamaría "Lov2design" y sería una agencia superguay donde crearíamos los mejores y más impactantes logos y carteles, flyers, etc. Quizá algún día la monte, mientras tanto, diseño su logo. ¿Qué os parece?.

I'm working on my own Graphic Design Agency's logo -just dreaming!...- and this is one which I have developed. The Agency will be named "Lov2design" and would be a wonderful one, where the best and the prettiest logos, posters, flyers, etc, will be made. Maybe one day I'll set it up, meanwhile I carry on designing its logo. What do you think?

Damien Rice

Desde que vi "Closer" me enganché a esta preciosa canción, es una de las mejores letras sobre amor que existen y Damien Rice tiene una voz que pone los pelos de punta. Lo mejor para celebrar el 14 de Febrero.

Since I first saw "Closer" I got hooked to this precious song, one of the best love lyrics ever and Damien Rice has such a great voice that makes you get gooseflesh. The best thing to celebrate the 14 th of February.

La Trapecista

Hoy mi fuente de inspiración viene de la película "El cielo sobre Berlín" y de unas líneas que escribí después de verla, que dan un giro trágico a la secuencia de la trapecista:

"Estaba cansada de la vida, de pelear para nada, nada tenía sentido... Entonces sintió el vértigo de la caída, su cuerpo flotando ligero y estrellándose en el suelo entre un mar de perlas rojas que brotaban de su cabeza. Por un momento su cuerpo se aferró con fuerza al trapecio, intentaba sujetarla a la vida, pero su cabeza ya estaba girando en el aire del triple salto mortal y perdió la noción de tiempo y espacio, dejándose llevar por la dulce sensación del que flota en la ingravidez. Como un ángel con las alas rotas cayó; su vida se esparcía sobre la arena de la pista mientras todo se emborronaba y se silenciaba la música. La belleza de la vida la contenía la muerte, pensó mientras cerraba lentamente los ojos, y así terminó su última actuación."

Today my inspiration comes from "Wings of desire" and from some text I wrote after seeing it, which mades the sequency more tragical:

"She was tired of living, of fighting over nothing, nothing had sense... Then she felt the vertigo of the fall, her body floating light and crashing on the floor among a red pearl's sea coming out of her head. Just for a moment, her body held on hard to the trapeze, trying to hold her tight to life, but her head was spinning in the air of the triple somersault so she lost all sense of time and space and was swept away by the sweet sensation of weightlessness. Like an angel with broken wings she fell; her life spred over the ring's sand while everything was getting blurred and music slowly turned down. The beauty of life is contained in death, she thought while she closed her eyes, and so ended her last performance."

Is a Wim Wender's movie. I recommend you to see it.

Air

Fotograma del videoclip de Air "Sing, sang, sung". Os lo recomiendo, está hecho todo con animación tradicional; además los dibujos van al compás de la música, es muy bonito. Por cierto, Air estuvieron en Murcia hace poco y tuve la suerte de verlos en directo, mereció la pena.

A shot from Air's videoclip "Sing, sang, sung". I strongly recommend you to wacht it, it has been made using traditional animation methods; music matches perfectly with animation as well, is beautiful. By the way, Air was in Murcia not long ago and I luckily could see them live, it was well worth.

Artafacta

Gracias a mi amiga Mónica por pasarme el link de artafacta, me ha hecho mucha gracia la palabra seleccionada y ya no he podido parar hasta tener mi propuesta de imagen para el mes de febrero. Animaos a participar, es un proyecto muy interesante.

Año nuevo, vida nueva

Pues ya estamos en 2010... hacía algo más de cinco meses que no publicaba nada, pero con los propósitos de año nuevo (dejar de fumar, hacer deporte...) he decidido poner en orden mis trabajos y retomar con ilusión el blog. No prometo publicar a diario -siendo realista- pero espero publicar con mayor frecuencia y subir otras cositas interesantes a parte de mis trabajos. ¡Ahí vamos!
P.D.: Bonus-track para animarnos con los buenos propósitos, sean los que sea :D

So we're in 2010... I haven't written for more than five months now, but as new year comes with its good intentions (give up smoking, doing more exercise...) I have decided to arrange my works and resume my blog wiht happiness. I don't promise to write daily -I'm being realist- but I would like to do it more frequently and publish more interesting things than only my works. Let's go! P.S.: Bonus-track to turn our good mood on and help with our good intentions, whatever they are :D

Amor de verano

¿Quién no se ha enamorado locamente en verano? Esta ilustración se me ocurrió el otro día leyendo una novela de piratas, un tema que me gusta mucho junto con las sirenas. Así que pensé que estos dos podrían enamorarse alguna vez, y aquí los tenéis, enamorados en verano.

Who hasn't been madly in love in summertime? This illustration came to my imagination recently as I was reading a pirate novel, a topic which I like very much as well as mermaids. So I thought that maybe these two characters could fall in love sometime, and so you have them, deeply in love, in summer love.

On the beach

Estos días he tomado algunas fotos de la playa donde suelo veranear. La playa es un lugar muy bueno para hacer fotografías ya que la luz que hay, especialmente en estas fechas, es casi mágica. Estoy trabajando además en una serie de atardeceres, que ahora en verano son de los más bonitos y duraderos. Otro día subiré alguna composición con ellos.

I've been taking some pictures of the beach where I usually go on my holidays. The beach is a great place to take pictures because the light there, specially in summer, is magical. I'm also working in a serial of sunsets which now in summer are more beautiful and longer than ever. I'll post a composition of them another day.

Just Mini

Participé en un concurso de diseños web para el Mini y uno de los diseños que hice fue éste. El Mini es un coche mítico en el que darse una vuelta se convierte en un placer, sobre todo si es descapotable y se acerca el verano y la playita, como ahora.

I made this design for a Mini webspace contest. Mini is a mythical car which makes a simple ride a pleasure, much better if it's a convertible one and summer and beach are right there, like now.
